The PoddyC is a primarily gaming podcast hosted by World of Warcraft content creators Maximum, Dratnos, and Dorki. The team wanted a retro, yet bold logo with MMORPG and World of Warcraft-esque elements. I included a set of icons that can be used on various stream and social assets.
We went with a bold, chunky feel with vibrant colors that draw your attention. It keeps an air of playfulness while being flexible enough to add more elements later.
The palette is inspired by the moodboard I collaborated with the client. After the first round of feedback, the client asked for more game references in the logo and surrounding art so that it represented the hosts better. They are all content creators in the World of Warcraft community and they wanted the logo to show that. I designed a few icons and imagery that could work with the logo to solve this.
I designed a chunky typeface for the logotype to pair with the font, Sono.
